I was looking for how much I should sell something on the Auction House for, and came across the website called "Allakhazam". This website gives you an idea of what an item is worth, how much it sells in the AH for etc.
In the following screenshot, there is information shown about a particular item, but which part of that do I pay attention to in order to get a general idea of what a decent price would be on the AH, if I was to sell that item?

if you click on the (details) link on the main item page, it will take you to a graph that shows the frequency at which that particular item was sold for by players who contribute to the database. there, you can see approximately what most people have sold the item for and what should be considered a fair price. it is natural and ok to mark up items to make profits. you will have to watch the market on your realm to see how much items of the same kind or similar are being listed as. you want to keep your priced competitive while still allowing some profit for yourself. i generally go a little above where i see the most blue + symbols on the detailed grid if there is nothing comparable listed in the auction house at the time i am selling an item.

In the screenshot there is "average, most common & median". I assumed these 3 things were the same. Should I generally base my price off the "average"?
Also, another thing is... Some green items don't even have a (details) button to click on & just show the vendor information. What should I do with these, put them on the AH for what I think they should go for?
Thanks.

Yep.... Go to the AH and search for the same item (or similar). Then base your price on what the other items are going for.
The problem with the data in your screenshot is that its not specific to your realm and every realms economy is different.
Just keep using the AH and you'll get the hang of it :)

When I first discovered this, I also assumed the prices were good for my realm, but as the other guys said, every realm is different. Sometimes things will sell for a lot less than average on your realm, sometimes a lot more. And right now, things are likely to be changing by the day, with the next expansion on its way.
As Erinion says, I'd look to see if anyone else is selling the item, then prices yours according to their price.

As others have said, the best way to find out how much an item is worth is to look it up on the auction house and see what others are selling it for. If nobody is selling it, try to look for similar items (so if you find a level 23 item "of the monkey" and nobody is selling that exact same item, look up level 20-25 items "of the monkey" and see what those are selling for).
As for that screenshot, well... "Most Common", "Average" and "Median" are similar things, but not quite the same. Most Common is exactly what it sounds like, the most commonly listed price for the item. Average is found by finding the sum of all the prices, then dividing it by the number of prices (1000 in this case). It usually provides a good guideline, but can be skewed by people listing too low or too high prices. Median is the middle value - found by listing all the prices in ascending order and picking the middle one.
I think it would be safe to go with "most common" but really the values here are so similar it wouldn't matter much.

Good advice. ^^
When on the browse tab, Shift-Left Click on the item and it will paste the name in automatically for you.

I'm afraid that in terms of suggesting AH prices, Allakhazam is an utter waste of time. The advice above, regarding both the Auctioneer add-on and looking through prices yourself, is much more useful.
