Myself, my son and daughter all have chars. on one account. I gave several items to a random player I met to hold and then I logged off and had my son log on in the same spot and the guy gave my son the items. I paid the guy 5 silver for 1 minutes trouble and he was cool but I was wondering if there is a more efficient way of doing this? My daughters char is on another continant most of the time so its a long haul to give her anything and I dont like bothering anyone else to do this. We are all newbs but Im a lvl 22 and they are like lvl 4 & 7 so I can really give them some helpful items. Im sure this is a common question. Thanks

You can mail items to characters and if they are on the same account the email is received instantly.

Yeah, on the same account you just mail the items using any mailbox. Log off, other toon logs in, items or gold will be there.

Tried it and it worked for my son. He is an Orc and Im a Tauren. But would not let me send anything to my daughter. She is a Night Elf. Guess you cant send mail to rival factions.??

Oh sorry... no, you can't. You CAN trade on the neutral AHs (Booty Bay, Gadgetzan etc). If you want to give her, say, Armor of Awesomeness, you make sure she's at the neutral AH, you post that piece for 1copper buyout (not bid) and she buys it right away. However, be warned - some people know that this goes on and sit at those AHs looking for deals like that and, usually with the help of addons, can grab the item before she can get it. That's relativey rare, but it's not a reportable thing so....

That is not true. Characters on the same account can't bid/buyout on auctions any other character on the same account has put up for auction. There you need someone to trust to either put up the auction or buyout the auction.

Sigh... of course you're right. I got to thinking of the toons as on different accounts. Thanks for catching that.

Yes, I'm afraid that in the case of your daughter, you're going to have to ask for someone's help to transfer items. Say Bob is going to help you. Bob is a Troll. You give him the items from your Tauren, and then you log into your daughter's account. Make sure that you already have her waiting at one of the neutral AHs, so that Bob doesn't have to wait for you to move that NElf. Bob puts an item on the AH for 1 copper buyout, and you pick it up with your daughter's NElf. Don't worry about the deposit fee, Bob will get that back after a while and will only have to pay 1 copper for every item he transfers for you this way. I think Bob will like it if you give him a little something for his effort.
(you can also do it with a friend on the alliance side, then you put stuff on the AH with your Tauren, friend picks it up, and then gives it all to your daughter's NElf)
It takes some coordination, and you'd best make sure you do this on a quiet time of the day, or even better - with a friend who you can stay in touch with on the phone or a chat program. You just don't want that expensive armor worth like 15 gold to go to some stranger who's having a field day buying it for only 1 copper.

It is. Just a word of caution: be absolutely sure you can trust someone that you give items to that will be passed on to another character. You may find yourself disappointed if he disappears with the items. Mailing is much simpler and safer. And, if you play on more than one realm, you can't mail items from one realm to another.

Yeah, even some people who are friends in real life are betrayed by their friends online with even just a few gold, so... Just make sure they're a GREAT friend or something similar.

Just FYI, your daughter's Alliance character will not be able to group with you or your son's Horde characters. You won't even be able to talk to one another in game.
If you are hoping that you and your children will be able to play together, you will all have to play on one side or the other -- all Horde or all Alliance. I suggest that, if your daughter is concerned about looks, that she roll up a Blood Elf.

All of characters in question (His, his son's and his daughter's) are all on the same account, so they wouldn't be able to group anyways, even if they were all on the same faction.
