Honor points and the expansion?

Hi all,

I have a lock that just turned 70. I also have about 40k of honor points. Now with the expansion coming out, should I use it now on level 70 gear, or just wait till 89?

I know a lot of people on my server are going crazy to fully gear up before the expansion comes out.

Also, is season 3 going to be available to by now? Then should I wait for that maybe?

Oh, do I have to use my honor before the expansion (will it carry over)?

They are not going to clear the honor for the expansion. They will be resetting arena points.
