Being new to WOW I did a 10 day trial and then just upgraded the account after the 10 days so I do not have the BC expansion. I see lots of them on EBAY 5 to $10.00. cheap. But is it worth the upgrade or will the WOTLK expansion include whats in the BC expansion? Anyone know?

You will need both as far as I know
That's correct. You cannot get Wrath without having Burning Crusade.

Plus leveling from 60-70 without BC would be an exercise in frustation not to mention impossible.

Get close to 60 and then purchase the BC xpac. Work your way to near 70 then buy the WoLK xpac. It will allow you more time and probably save you some money.
The only reason I would suggest you to upgrade sooner is if you have a level 55 character and you want to try the new death knight class. If thats the case then get both when WotLK is released.

I would be very wary of picking the game up off of ebay. The registration codes that come with the game can only be used once, so the only use for "used" versions of the game would be if you wanted the disks for some reason (such as yours were damaged.) So, if you do go with something like Ebay, make sure that you are getting an unused version from a fairly reliable seller.

This.
I too would be wicked nervous about buying a copy of the game off eBay. If you're going to make sure it's an unopened/NIB (new in box) copy. As far as when to install BC, unless you want to roll a blood elf/dranei or get your professions past 300 then wait until you're close to going to Outland and buy then.

You will need
WoW Original
WoW Burning Crusade
In order to play the Wrath of The Lich King expansion. So there is no point in waiting for the expansion since you will still need both of those games anyways. You might as well start now.

Yeah you will need a valid BC Retail Product key.
I guess you can put off actually buying TBC until yo are ready to get into TBC content at level 58 or so. You'll need it then to get into Outland.

Yes. You do. It's simple. Every account needs the auth codes for vanilla wow to play that, AND the bc codes to play that.... AND the wotlk codes to play that.

I guess it may seem like that if you have to buy them all quite close to each other. Most people paid for TBC 18 months ago and original wow 2 (?) years before that.
