ok here is the thing... atm my UI looks like a total mess.

now i decided i want to clear things up for Wotlk. Now is the perfect time to do so since we dont raid any more, i am bored to death of gold farming and Most of the addons will still work after release.

now, i would like to get something as clean and organised as this :

http://www.lrguild.org/kerp/kerpui.jpg

ok, now to my questions.

1 : What mod does this greyish bar at the bottom where you can put all your windows on top ?

2 : What mod makes the rectangular and movable minimap ?

3 : What mod makes the buffs movable ?

4 : What mod makes the target and self frames which are normaly in the upper left movable ?

i allready have grid, recount, omen, bartender. So i can fill up the black bar in the bottom once i actualy have it. I just need some good pointers towards some mods which allow me to move around the rest.

i suspect i need to get pitbull. I have read the name several times all over UI discussions. Does Pitbull do all that ?

1) EEPanels, with a custom background.
Aperture is an easier way of doing it (view port mod).

Truth be told, I personally don't like it - you lose a lot of viewing space, but since you're a PvE-er, you might not suffer as much. Still, I suspect you'll want to see Archimonde's fires or something anyway.

2) SimpleMiniMap (or Chinchilla)
I think this particular one is Chinchilla, but either does the trick.

3) SatrinaBuffFrame / ElkBuffbars
I personally prefer the former.

4) That looks like it's AG_UF (Unit Frames).
There's mods that just move stuff, there's Unit Frames mods. I personally prefer Pitbull over AGUF, but that's a matter of taste. You could use Xperl as well.

I see Prat in there as well (the chat mod).
You'll need to grab Bartender 4, not 3 (which is the one in the picture).
To skin the bar buttons (and buffs), you'll need to grab Button Facade.

thanks alot Aerath

1 ) i know i loose some viewing space, but truth be told, the chaos i have now on my screen is much worse ^^ between all the windows that pop up etc, i maybe see 50% of my screen with the UI i have now.

i have the newest bartender version, i used the screen just as a example. it is not my ui, just something i found on google.

i use a chat mod called "chat mod" and it works fine for me.

so you say that i need EEPanels for the grey bar, Pitbull, satrina and Simpleminimap to move all my stuff to the bottom, and then i just fill up the grey bar with whatever i want to use ?

i ll start downloading these addons and play around with it as soon as i picked up my wife from the airport :D

EEPanels adds *a* panel to a bit of the screen (where you want it to be).
Getting it to be exactly that grey thing might be a bit trickier than just nabbing the addon.

If all you want is some empty space, Aperture is far easier.

hmm is satrinabuffframe only working for my own buffs or can it show my targets buffs / debuffs aswell ?

i noticed that pitbull also shows buffs on me and my target, and i wonder if i should just setup pitbull to do it or why you recomendet satrina.

edit : seems that pitbull also has movable buffs, so i disabled satrina for now.

Personally, I prefer Xperl, bartender4, skinner, simpleminimap, bagnon(for inventory) questhelper, tomtom, and cartographer. I use a variety of other support addons, but those are the ones i cannot play without, lol.

Satrina governs the 'big' personal buffs and debuffs (the ones normally in the top right of your window). Those aren't attached to unit frames.
Pitbull governs the ones attached to your own personal frame or that of your (focus) target and/or party.

There's a difference.

For tracking personal debuffs/buffs and cooldowns, I prefer using a few more addons; DoTimer and Cooldown Buttons.

ok, this allready helped alot.

old ui :

new ui :

still got some finetuning to do, but the overview is allready quadruplet ^^ dont know why i was too lazy to do this all trough BC.

hmm i dont realy understand the difference ^^ As i see it Pitbull takes the buffs/debuffs from the upper right and puts them under my player status thingy. I have not seen yet a buff/debuff which would not be displayed there. And it does this with every bar, up to my pet's target's target.

no need for a cooldown tracking addon, i have those in my mind :)

20+ buffs (raid situation) under your player frame gets damn ugly damn fast.

ok, i got some more twiddling around done and by now it looks a lot more like what i imagined :)

i have two problems remaining.

1 : My quest tracker is gone. i have Quest guru for the bigger quest log, but i always used the normal blizzard quest tracker over the Questguru one. Now i cannot get any of them to display.

I looked Pitbull all over ( man this addon is crazy, so many things to configure ) but i didnt find any option which has anything to do with a questtracker. Is there one i missed, or could this be a malfunction between questguru and pitbull, or did i miss something else ? ^^

2 : Speaking of pitbull, how can i make the bars of my player and my target longer ? i only found settings for the hight, but not for the length ?

1. Not sure, don't use it. But, there is usually an option within the quest tracker mod that will disable the default one you just need to find it :) Pitbull doesn't affect the quest tracker, it only deals with unit frames.

2. This is from memory so may not be exactly correct. Open the pitbull config, go to the player section and expand it. Click on bars and there should be a height and width option. Same for the target section (and any section).

I was also wondering if there's a reason for your ui to be so HUGE? You could try reducing the ui scale in the video options to get it neater.

/edit I read your post again properly, if you have found the height option the length option is right below it but its called width.

No clue what the problem might be. Possibly outdated with the new patch.

I use Beql (something's extended quest log) and it works just fine.

I had the same problem after 3.0, but the quest addon I use (UberQuest Reborn Again) has a built-in quest tracker which I now use for want of the 'real' thing. If you only use QuestGuru for a bigger quest log, then consider trying the one I use - it expands the log as well, and provides you with an on-screen quest tracker (without annoying the hell out of you with arrows and dotted lines on your map, telling you were you ought to go next).

i thaught so too, but here is my bar menu :

i only see height :( same on the power bar.

i downloaded the latest version ( 3 weeks old ) and reinstalled it just to be sure. wtf am i missing ? :(

quest tracker works now, btw. i downloaded beql and it works fine.

edit : found it ! it is not under players - bar - health, but under players - other - size. who thaught of putting it under "other" when you have a "bar" tab allready ? -.- anyway, found it.
