Hahaha... Omg.
What's next? "Is there a way to... Y'know... Rent water bottles, I mean, you don't need to use it at all times and some people could use it after others."

Is there any way to like rent a phone when your out, say if your mobiles out of credit and you really need to make a call? Like a booth or box or something would be cool.

-What is this place?
-It's a Library, son.
-What's that?
-It's a place where homeless people come to shave or go BM.

<crosses fingers and prays, on her knees, face down on the ground, that the op was a TROLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!>
Please. My faith in humanity has enough issues without adding this to it. Can I have those brain cells back please? I could use them on something else!
Hm...I was thinking like semiiramiis, but sadly remembered 2 things happening lately
-400 billion euros being made available to banks in help against the financial crisis
-money being cut everywhere for social services, healthcare, public transports, education and not least public libraries.
Wouldn't be surprised if some people grow up where there are no libraries around....or books ^^

If i get bored enough, i guess I can read my personal library. I've got enough books here in the house to qualify.

The forum network was http://forums.overclockers.com.au He has been banned after another 200 posts or so; not banned for his sheer stupidity sadly, or as some kind of humane act to make him go outside. Yes, this falls into the old stereotype: Overclockers lack lives. I wish I could disagree, but this example is just too damning of someone who clearly barely lived in the real world. If he had money to throw away on blowing up CPUs and buying water cooling systems, he's in a place where libraries are most likely affordable public services.

Aha, it was an Aussie (looks like). Well now we'll never really know if it was a joke. I'm gonna go with my gut instinct and say he was just being a TROLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here in the UK authorities are worried by falling visitors so they are doing a big push to make them more accessible, putting them in schools along with medical facilities as part of community centres and even putting them in shopping arcades to attract shoppers to drop in.

The best libraries I've visited are either the University ones or the private ones that some businesses have. The University ones are the best for general books though; don't know where I'd be without them.

 Is the US education system actually ahead on something? We've had libraries in schools as long as I've been around. We were forced into them for research, projects, etc. all through our adademic careers. Even in college your freshman English course has an "Intro to Library Services" section.

It sure was a nice coincidence that Mrs. Decimal's Son (his name was Dewey) became interested in the library.

Our schools have always had sizeable libraries, but now their expanding them and making them public libraries rather than solely for the 1000 or so pupils of an average secondary school (some inner city high schools are as large as 5000 pupils but their rare).
