... a Gif image? I have a nice idea for a new avatar, but I don't know how to make a Gif, especially from a cinematic, even if it's possible.
Any experts out there?

I could do it in photoshop, but would need the image.

you need stills of the cinematic.
there's an addon (lol) to photoshop that will do the moving gif''s for you. i forgot the name of the program though. it will take you frame by frame and you can then play your gif all the way through.

Or you could use ImageReady. That usually ships along with PhotoShop, and easily let you set up a sequence of frames and turn it into an animated GIF.

Thanks guys! First chance I've had to check on the thread since I made it >.<
It's the bit right at the end of the Lich King cinematic, the close-up on Arthas' face. I think it would look cool slowed down and looped. Is it possible, I mean does it go on too long?

Which was what i was referring to. i just checked my old computer for it and there it was. it ships with PS, but an addon nonetheless.
and your cinematic is totally doable. zoomed in and everything. just dont ask me how. last time i worked with image ready it was 2003.

There was a free program that allowed you to make gif images, but it was limited. I think it was a MS program. I have tried using photoshop and all that but it got complex and I gave up.

Small, simple, standalone, freeware - you'll need the stills still
Note : there's a link to a download site on the wiki page...
As always, YOU are responsible for virus checking if you use it

And thanks for the offer Eileithyia; I'll try it myself first, if I fail miserably I'll let you know :D
