Midnight launch in Quebec?

Does anyone know of any store holding a midnight launch in quebec?

I read that Futureshop isnt doing it in this province because of a law preventing stores from being open past a certain time. I find this confusing as there are plenty of products that have been sold at midnight in the past, notably the Harry Potter books.

Can anyone clarify things for me and perhaps even give me a location?

I really don't think there is. In Montreal, I checked and nothing is going on.

To answer my own question, I just read that Quebec law prohibits shops staying open past 9PM unless to sell items deemed 'cultural', e.g. books.

Crap.

I'd drive to Ottawa to get it, but then I'd have to drive an hour there and back. And I'd be a huge geek.
