View Full Version : No WotLK for me....

Here's the dilemma:

I started playing WoW after seeing the game advertised on TV in the UK.
Being an ass I hit .com rather than going to the Euro servers. I downloaded the game and have happily played on US servers. I upgraded to BC online, simply downloaded and upgraded my account. I have never needed the discs and the CD key was always given after payment online.
Problem is that wherever I look, and every upgrade link I hit, there is no way that I can pay Blizzard directly and receive a CD key.
It seems my only option is to purchase a copy of WotLK online from the US and wait til it gets here before installing and playing my way to 80.
Does anyone know if this is the case this time? It seems weird that this expansion should be any different to BC in the respect of the payment side and the install. :ponder:
Any way, I want to keep it all above board and not resort to getting a CD key (game included) off Egay etc...

Any thoughts, views help appreciated.

I could be wrong, because I don't live in Europe so it might have worked differently there, but if I recall correctly you couldn't download BC for purchase immediately. It seemed like it was a month or so after the initial release that they offered that as an option. I only remember this because I lost my discs and was going to go purchase a new copy, but someone told me you could just download it off their site now.

Again, it has been a while so I might not be remembering correctly. So shipping it across the pond (am I allowed to say that even though I'm not from England?) may still be your best option. But again, I could be wrong so double check me with other posters here.
