DK Ganking Parties

ok guys, fess up. which of you decided to gank DKs when they left their starting zone. my server was full of folks in HFP ganking any DKs they see. people were calling out coords of DKs each time one is spotted. this was, mind you, the middle of the night around 2am real time (5 hours after Wrath launch), so i'd expect more people hanging around HFP just for the sheer joy of ganking DKs. i had to admit, it was fun for a good 20 minutes.

Yeah this is why I rolled PvE. Can't stand the a**wipes who think it's fun to screw with other people's game.

I was shocked to login at 10 this morning and find 3 level 73 horde griefing alliance right outside valance keep (killing escorts/flags/causing npcs your trying to use to run after them/etc)

Shocked? It's a PvP server... I like PvP, but I tend to hate PvPers. But at least yo ucan gang up on them and fight back at that level. The 70+ people ganking 57 toons are just sad excuses for humans

Perhaps it is people who don't have the expansion yet getting in on a bit of the new action. Possibly some roleplay here?

clevins there is realy no need for namecalling or that kind of judging.

as said in many other threads :

1 : everybody enjoys this game different.
2 : if you dont want to be ganked, roll on a PvE server.

But to impose your view of how this game should be played on others and then even scoop so low as to insult them is realy uncalled for. Tone it down, take a chill pill, life and let die.

Totally different for me and our little group,we went straight to TBC with our DK's when we was 58 and whilst levelling we ganked any 70's we found.

I agree with clevins, it seems somewhat sadistic to purposely grief other players when they can't do anything about it. Like the 70's who go around STV killing all the lowbies.

Sure. But perhaps what we really like is world PvP, which doesn't exist on a PvE server. To have to fight the opposing faction for something gives it an edge. Griefing doesn't really do that, it just means you leave for a while. Not as exciting.

The quick ones should be past their mid 60s by now, nearing 70. there will be megaloads of them in HFP, Zanga, Nagrand, and Terokkar all over the place. gonna love the world pvp now that things are a bit more even.

I coul have my Alliance side DK up now ...my Hordeside one will have to wait till the weekend as my highest toon is 54.

You can only have 1 DK per account, so unless your Hordies are on another realm I'm afraid you can forget about it.

As for griefing DKs in HFP, last night on my server that would've been a hard job.. a /who showed that, aside from 1 Druid and 1 Warrior, the place was flooded with DKs only. I bet that if a few bored 70s had taken it into their minds, they would've had a whole horde of DKs rampaging down on them. :wink:

One more reason to level one's deathknight in EPL/Winterspring/Silithus, it seems. By the time you hit 62, either you'll be able to skip HFP altogether, or the mass of gankers will get bored and move on to greener pastures.

All this DK gankfest sounds very karmic to me.

Those with the new shiny DKs were probably exactly those players that so mercilessly used their lvl 70 chars to gank/grief everyone elses lvl 20 chars. What goes around comes around?
