Oh my gosh, has anyone taken a ride on one of the 20k gold mammoths? they are sooo much fun !!! and with travelling tradesmen on board, my friends bought 2 and they are just.... incredible here are some pics for the poor people to pine over... xoxoxo

I would never want someone on the same mount unless it was a good looking female. It's like why don't you have your own mount dude? If you can't get your own mount then you probably should play a druid cause they get travel form around lvl 20 or just stop playing altogether.

it has vendors attached to it so you can sell up your items as soon as you pick them up should you need to. you can also use these traders (who travel on board!) to repair as and when you click to mount, which is pretty awesome if youre miles from anywhere

any level can ride on one so it would be useful for guilds / boosts etc.

and they are soooooooooooooooooo cute. xD

Laziness FTW! Sometimes I can't be bothered actually clicking the mount button and then steering the damn thing. This new group mount will be excellent! It's just like 'follow', only even less work.

Not really, its suppose to be a special mount, Not one any one can get :P I know a few people that had 40k + gold going into wotlk so they've both picked one up :grin: i unfortunately am lazy and have like 150g in game :(

I still don't see me giving up my Azure Netherdrake as my main MO of getting around.

I'd get it for the achievement that goes along with it (provided I were to have the necessary 16-20,000 for it (It's from a faction and rep bonuses count), but I'd still keep to my trusty Netherdrake.

And before any of you pounce on me with flying mounts aren't available till 77 so I'd use a land mount, there's still the fact that it still needs 20,000 gold, and I highly doubt I'll have 20,000 anytime soon, what with training costs, inevitable respec costs, repair costs (those aren't likely to ever go down, are they?), FP costs (since I don't have my flying mount in Northrend yet) etc. etc.

As far as I know, engineers can make them, but anyone can use them.

I highly doubt there are any in the game, they require 450 engineering to make, a lot of mat farming, exalted with the coverall faction for Northrend (Horde Expedition for Horde, Alliance Vanguard for Alliance) and 400 gold.

I just hope they removed the royal bull**** aspect of the motorcycles and that's that they can carry the fuggin FLAG in fuggin WSG. The 80 and eventual 80+ brackets would look like a Hell's Angels reunion, and I'd never set foot in WSG again.

Well I guess there's dailies in WOTLK as well, and you can still do the TBC dailies. And lvl80 monsters will drop a bit more gold than lvl70s.

Next to that you can get rich pretty fast if you're a gatherer now - especially mining. I made like 1k/day thus far just by mining. If you're into making money now you'd best be skinner/miner I think.

But the mount, can you only have the NPCs aboard or also take people along?
Perhaps people can set up a taxi service in starter areas then ^^
