I've been trying to look up information on this, but the whole "championing" thing seems to drown out any other information.

I'm still annoyed that I went about rep the wrong way when I first hit Outlands. (All of the extra Shadow Labs pugs to get exalted with Lower City have left me determined not to make the same mistakes again.)

From everything that I could find, there aren't any known rep turn ins that end at a certain rep, and the low level dungeons don't give out any rep. So, does that means it's safe to start questing away without worrying about messing myself up for rep later on?

Yes, I'm asking about all of the fun new factions out in the expansion. Thus far I've been busy leveling fishing and grinding some cloth (and generally just looking around.) However, it's pretty obvious that questing would level me a whole lot faster than the cloth grinding will.

The vast majority of quests give rep with one or two factions, so you are almost exalted by the time your 80 with a couple of daily quests also available. Instances pre 80 do not give rep, at 80 they give the rep of whoevers tabard your wearing.

So this means you will have to grind reps at 80 but you wont miss out by not running pre-80 instances. However if you dont do the early quests for rep your going to have to do dailies till the pigs come home to get all that rep with the quest factions.
