And how do you summon this animal? I've got one on every character, but when I right click (assuming this is right) on the bear, all I get is a message 'Baby Blizzard Bear is already known'. :ponder:

Summon him - like all pets - from your minion tab (under "C")

The item doesn't disappear when you learn it.. I suppose they did this so that you'll be able to give all future toons you make the pet as well. The item is account-bound, not soulbound, so you can mail it to another character.

Guess I'll have to get in touch with Blizzard - this doesn't work on any of my characters.

There is two sections in that tab, one for harmless pets, the other for mounts, and a third for hunters that details your hunter pet. Make sure you are under the right one.

Yes, I did, spent about twenty minutes looking about trying to find something, anything, that would summon this little guy (all around me in Stormwind people were strolling about with their pets - grrrrr). Blizzard's answer to my questions? 'Delete all your addons, cache file, etc., etc........'

Open up your CHARACTER tab so that you can see all the items that you are wearing - Loock to the right there is a tab called PET click on it - While you are there you will see ( at the top ) PETS tab and MOUNTS tab make sure you are on PETS - then there is a big window showing what pet is Highlited with a button (just under the pet) but still in the windo that says SUMMON PET or if you pet is summoned it will say DISMISS PET - below that are 12 slots with pets in them ( if you have that many ) if you have more then there will be a button in lower right to go to next page - click thru the pages untill you see the BEAR pet -- click on the BEAR ICON to make it show up in the PREVIEW pane click on SUMMON PET button to make him summon - you can also DRAG the pet from the list of 12 to a Action bar so that you can click on it there and SUMMON / DISMISS your pet without going thu the PET TAB :thumbsup:
