Seriously... do you really need a levelling guide? WoW is not the most brain taxing game in the world. Just do the quests and you'll gain levels.

I do know a good free dictionary though.

That's uncalled for. This person's first language may not be English. Furthermore, tons of people use levelling guides, or quest addons in-game. It makes levelling so much faster.

Erinion - Shut up if you don't have anything helpful to say. He asked a very polite question, even saying please in the title.

teethuk: Google for Jame's, it's a site that helps with making questing efficient. He talks about how to do several quests together so that you're not doing what many new players do and do a quest, turn it in, do another, turn IT in, etc. It's basically a strategy for maximizing your XP per hour.

For ingame addons, Questhelper and Carbonite are the most popular. The downside to using addons like this is that the game becomes more rote and you can lose the flavor of the game world.... it starts to become "oh, go there, kill 10 of those... OK" with no real feel for why you're doing it. But everyone's different.

No one cares about your reaction. And you know what? Several times you've taken the time to comment only to be a snotty little brat to the person asking a question. If that's all you're here for, go away. Meanwhile, welcome to my ignore list.

I can recommend the Jame's levelling guides from personal use. They're free and quite comprehensive. You don't have to follow the whole guide if you don't wish. He makes good suggestions, though (f'rinstance, kill everything you meet for added XP) and is good at pointing out the most worthwhile quests in terms of XP gained. Worth trying until you get the feel of the game. Then you can proceed on your own.

With grammar like that?
With a question like that?

Hell, I went to google, typed "Warcraft leveling guide" and got around 377k results.

He can't have been searching very well then. I'd say he spent as much effort on searching as he did on typing. And with a mangled grammar like that, I'd be more inclined to pin him as a native speaker - people who learned english the hard way tend to be more careful with what they type.

But what difference does it make? I've seen misspelled posts from many forum members; seen ungrammatical posts as well. What really matters is courtesy, reasonable treatment of others here, and helpful responses to questions. Unpleasantness is unnecessary. Unfortunately, there are a few posters here of whom I think 'Oh, oh, really rude and snarly post coming up' when I see their names in a thread. And yours is, all too often, one of those names.

My cynical attitude to almost everyone’s inability to find out things for themselves is coming across loud and clear then.

If someone has a genuine problem that I can help with then I will. If they fail to use a small amount of their own effort and ask really dumb questions then I will let them know. They've managed to navigate here and post on the forum, which outstrips the skill needed to use Google. I honestly think that many people who post here are too plain lazy to look for the information they require themselves and see this forum as a quick "fire and forget" solution.

When that person also manages to spell half the words in their post wrong (when they quite clearly are speaking in their "mother tongue") I get really annoyed. I find it almost insulting. If you want help then at least put in some effort and make it legible.

I agree the OP in the thread was polite. But spelling "any" as "eny" just winds me up and to be perfect honest I completely agree with Aerath. A simple Google search give's more than enough answers to the OP's question.

tone it down a bit now. Noone wants to see this. Let the thread die in peace.
