Anyone know what's going on with youtube?

A week or so ago they changed the viewing size to widescreen (19:9 or something) and I noticed everything (or almost) was in stereo. Now it appears to have gone back to the way it was. Did I do something or do youtube do it? I want it back if possible. Yeah, I realise I could just add &fmt=18 to every clip, but that is a pain in the ass. Surely there is another way?

If you use firefox there's two addons that make make it a default feature to see the Hi def videos, with the option to lower it down. And the other addon sets up 2 links to appear below the "comment of the video" which let you download either the mp3 file or the whole video to your computer.

Also there seems to be 3 different sizes ( i don't know how ), the default is now the 16:9 ( widescreen) one with the older videos having a letterbox, and some videos have a really large view ( bigger than the 16:9 without letterbox).

I dunno :|
