View Full Version : Back from a 6-month break, need some help

So to say the least lots has changed in wow since i've been gone...

But as far as this forum is concerned, I cannot seem to get my addons working. I assumed that since lich king my addons are not up-to-date anymore. But I'm having problems even with newly downloaded ones...

My most pressing issue is that the 'addons' button does not appear on the login screen...is this a change to the game or a problem on my end? Regardless of the source of me missing this feature, how do I remedy it?

Right now, all of my addons are in the addon folder that is in the WTF folder like always...anything here needs changing?

Not sure what else I'm missing, I know I'm probably going to have to update these mods, but it seems like my game's not even recognizing out of date mods

You don't put them in the WTF folder. You put them in the interface folder!

yeah your addons go inside the World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns folder the WTF folder is for the saved settings.

Wow look at that folder, lol. So should I just delete the wtf folder? It looks like my addon folder was duplicated into the interface folder

So I've moved all my addons into the interface folder...but the addon option is still not available on my login screen...am i missing a step here? Sorry for acting noobish, but i want my map coords back lol

ok delete your WTF and Interface folders, log into WoW then exit game, redownload your mods and install them into your world of warcraft\interface\addons folder.

note that deleting your WTF folder will reset all ingame settings.

Nah you must have a very sad little life, to find entertaining posting childish comments.
It wont be long before you account is banned, so you might aswell get as much fun in before play times over.
