Ok so i just got WoW downloaded a day ago and i have been playing most of the day (im new to WoW) and then to find out that there is ANOTHER PATCH coming out today. Which really annoys me because, from what i can find its going to be a HUGE patch like the one before if not bigger....

I know many of you are prolly wondering, "Whats the big deal it will only take a day or so, Not a big deal right?"

Well for me it is.
I have sattilite internet

For those of you who dont know what that means, it means, i have a amount of bandwith download that i cant go over which is 200 mb. But from 2-5 a.m. i have unlimited ammount of download, but i can only get about 500mb in that amount of time.

So i spend all that time downloading the patches i need and now i have to download ANOTHER which could be bigger.

So im not sure if i wanna stay with WoW or not, I like the game alot but is it worth taking the time to download all the patches?

No negative comments please
Such as, "get over it" etc. :undecided:

the game gets updated and improved on a regular basis. This is good, isnt it ?

It is maybe one patch in two months or such. You just had a bit of bad luck.

The updates are very good. there not like bad to download or anything
I guess i just tried to join at the wrong time lol
I just hope its not to big, cause the patch before this, i took my computer to a friends house to download it and it took like 14 hours i think
so maybe this one aint that bad

Word of advice, get the patch from one of the mirror sites as opposed to using the Blizzard downloader, the latter is torrent based, that means it's going to be slower than a regular DDL in general.

Can you link me to one of these mirror sites? or link me directly to the download on a mirror site?

Yeah, it sucks if you've been downloading for two days. The patch shouldn't be that big though.

Yay patch day!

Yay! Blood tanking buff!
Boo! Glyph of Dispel nerf!

Hmmm.. Might be patch day, might not. It could just be the regular tuesday maintenance. You got my hopes up.

Our maintenance here is usually Wednesday morning, so I suppose I'd better plan for a patch on both computers and accounts tomorrow. There were rolling restarts this afternoon on the European servers, but that's all so far.

Wasn't that hard to find on the Blizzard site (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21079&categoryId=2326&parentCategoryId=&pageNumber=1).

You can check WoWwiki as well

This will NOT be a big patch. No content is being added, it's just a few class changes and bug fixes etc.

Edit: looks like there wasn't a patch applied after all that.

That is some harsh luck there.
On the Blizzard downloader on one of the tabs on the top right (may have to click through a few) Turn peer to peer transfer off.
I found this was my biggest downfall downloading patches and hope it helps a few of you guys out.

No patch again? Zzzz bliz. Getting a bit old now, been expecting a patch for ages nao. Almost looks as if it'll all be in the content patch if they drag it out too much longer.

Seems a bit of bad planning on their part. The last big patch, the expansion, and then Christmas holiday when the numbers playing increased. If they'd rescheduled the expansion then this patch could have been slotted in maybe next month. I can understand that they had enough to do with the issues that resulted from the last patch and expansion (and the increased holiday play) and certainly didn't need more work with another patch, but how long have we been waiting now?

Lol i wouldnt mind waiting more cause i have only had WoW on my comp for a few days now and getting a patch would just ruin everything =\

the game has run for 4 years now. we get a major patch around every 3 months or so.

Look at the big picture, and dont worry about your week or whatever it is you would eventualy have to wait. Yes, it sucks for you at the moment, but think about the service you get in the future.
