how do I get to dalaran..flying

OK I am level 75 and got the idea I needed to get to dalaran so I could get to places faster. I was looking at it just like shath so I just need to get there and all is well.
Well No that didn't work, I got a portal and went there. Got the flight path But even though I have almost all flight paths in the world I can't fly there.
I don't have a flying mount so thats out.
How do you get to taxi to dalaran ?

I can't find anything here or wiki about how this is done?

You have to be level 77 to get northern flying.
Your options are
Find a mage
Battle ground pull
Quest in the woods under Dalaran gives access to a portal <not sure what level it is at did not use it myself>

if you have the flight path from dalaran, its connected to dragonshrine, middle of dragon blight. i think it also direct-connects to the flightpath at the wrath gate.

otherwise, you'll have to walk to the mages standing below dalaran to port you back up. (you did do that quest to port back and forth when you first got to lagaran right? )

I *think* it's level 74...you receive a quest from a Kirin Tor NPC in various towns that ports you to Dalaran, you potter along to a delightful lady in the city proper who asks you to test the teleporter behind her. This takes you down to the forest floor of Crystalsong, where you re-activate the teleporter and get whooshed back up to Dalran.

Or something like that.

Use your WoW search machine of choice and look for a quest called 'The magical kingdom of Dalaran', that should provide all your answers!

Ah, my mistake then...but he will always be able to go visit the chaps in Crystalsong to get up there again. Not as convenient as a taxi obviously, but helpful if no other methods are available...

I know that once I had the Ebon Watch flightpath in Zul'Drak, I was connected with Dalaran. I'm sure there are other connectors as well, that was just how far my DK who was ported to Dalaran at 70 had to go from Howling Fjord before I finally connected with Dalaran.

It doesn't sound like he got to Dalaran via the quest though.
Follow Reverendi's advice and look into the quest. Any of the places that send you to Dalaran should have a FP. Just get the FP before you go. I did it from Stars Rest in DragonBlight

ok I got a port at level 74. I did the quest for the crystal thing. I have the keep and temple flight paths in dragonblight and still I have no flightpath to dalaran.
Stars Rest is that alliance? I will run over and get it if it will help.
I am not home so I can't check but isn't stars rest a small place that just has a few huts? Some quest to deliver to different places and stuff?
If so I have that flight path as well.
I will run over there tomorrow night and give it a shot.

You should also get the flight path at Moa'ki Harbor. I know when I first ventured into Dragonblight this was the only flightpath I had, and when I got the port to Dalaran at 74 I had the connection to Moa'ki.

wyrmrest temple is the conecting flight path to dalaran. i had just first fp in borean and howling and got ported to dalaran on my alts at 70 and was unable to fly back after i had hs out of dalaran. then after a quick ride to wyrmrest i could fly to dalaran on both the alts

I suppose we should point out that while Dragonblight is the connecting FP to dalaran, he may still be missing the connection from that to starting areas

as long as you have taken time to get from either borean or howling with the top end fp's you can fly from either start area to dalaran and back. my priest had both fp's in howling and wyrmrest to dalaran but couldnt fly to vaggilence keep until i had ridden from wyrmrest to the airstrip in borean.

Wrymrest temple is a straight flight to daralan and from there is kinda spreads out. Thats not as horrible as the FP in Storm Peaks near HoS and HoL that even after you get the FP you have to find the more obscure FP to get a FP connecting there.
