Returning WoW player - patch questions

I have a launch day account, and a set of original WoW CDs. I played since launch till right after tBC came out. tBC is "attached" to my account according to the account management. Since then I haven't played and the account has been disabled.

Since then, I've lost my CDs for tBC, but I have my originals. I want to get back into WoW with WotLK. Can I simply go buy a WotLK dvd and install it from scratch? Then do I guess a 3.01->3.02 patch 3.02-> whatever it is now.

Downloading all the patches etc is terrible on my current connection (~256-500 kbps down) so I'm trying to limit my patch downloads, or get them in advance from a friend who can burn them to cd/dvd.

You can digital download everything you need fromBlizzard. Go ahead and install WoW. Then for TBC, g to your account management page on WorldofWarcraft.com and select the digital download for TBC. Next buy WOTLK from the store or from The Blizzard Store (digital download with retail key) and install


Go through entering yout TBC and WOTLK keys where needed and patching and you should be set.
