hey, I haven't played wow for a while and was wondering if you still needed rep to do heroics or if you could just do them right away. Also, I heard warlocks suck now or have no use ( warlocks is my class) should I just roll death knight or will warlocks get fixed.

Thanks.

You don't need reputation to do the Northrend (wotlk) dungeons on heroic, but last I checked, you still need Revered reputation for the Outland (tbc) dungeons. Warlocks ARE NOT SUCKY! In my guild two warlocks go raiding with us on a regular basis and they are an asset with their soulstones for the healers, healthstones for the raid and overall dps-increase on mobs. Warlocks only suck if they're being used by bad players or people who have no idea (yet) what spec would be useful in a (raiding) dungeon.

Lol well whoever told you Warlocks are crap need to learn to play. Honestly, there are no classes that are failing miserably, people say they are yet you get the same class they are complaining about acing it in raids, heroic, whatever with a proper and able player. WoTLK they changed from being everyone with good gear is the best dps, to you can have good gear but need to know how to play to get better dps than say the other lock with the same gear as you. You actually need skill now for dps, that's why you here people complaining.

I haven't played a warlock to 80 yet, but from my guildies I understood that Destruction is a good raiding build, where you can either use your pet or sacrifice it to increase your dps. But, as said by Azrax, gear plays a more important role nowadays, so just the spec isn't enough anymore. Most points in Destruction and some points in... eh... what are the names again... either Affliction or Demonology is best, I think.

Here's some Warlock Builds from WoWWiki.com

Don't just jump into Heroics, make sure you're geared for it.

Heroics are generally a lot easier than in TBC however. As dps the worst things that could happen would be that you're not able to hold your own in terms of damage or even worse, that you dont have enough HP to keep up with unavoidable damage. At this point people are even ignoring the intended mechanics of fights because they can eat the damage, but you won't need that kind of gear to join a heroic pug.

And be sure to check out the Heroic Difficulty Order Thread in the Instance Raid Forum. Don't be the lock that walks into H Old Kingdom with a couple of lvl 71 green rings, a few blues, and no socketed gems.

(I saw that the other day.)

The complaints about warlock is in PvP, peeps are saying warlocks don't have good enough burst to kill things in an arena. They now have to refresh DoT's and drain to kill things (as far as I've heard). If I remember correctly, Blizz is going to do something to make 'em a little more bursty for PvP.

Think intancing/raiding will be fine as there is long battles, and you're not getting hit all the time, well, you're not supposed to be anyway ^^
