I was wondering if the XFX GeForce 7950GT 512MB DDR3 DUAL DVI PCI-EXPRESS HDCP Graphics Card would be able to run WoW on High Settings, and if so is £40 a good price for one? Thanks:wink:

Most likely enough on medium high, but not all out high/max.

It is a good price.

Going from the onboard graphics you have to the 7950Gt will be as different as night and day (in all games).

Ok well ive done a bit more searching and found a XFX GeForce 8500GT, which is £10 CHEAPER than the 7950GT, will this make the graphics better than what the 7950GT would? (last question i promise)

No not at all. The 2nd number in the nvidia numbering is just as important as the first. so a 79xx is a top range 7 series card. Whereas an 85xx is a bottom of the line piece of crap 8 series. Get the 7950 it will perform way way better.

Clavina just explained what I've tried to explain to you before Bomber, the second number is just as, if not more, important than the first. A 5700 kicks the crap out of 7200 for instance. A newer, lower tier product loses to an older but higher tier graphics card. Naturally, you'd want both, but the 7950 is far, far , far better.
