I just bought WoW today and i have been donloading patches since 4 pm. Its currently 7:46 pm, anyone know why i have to have all of these? Is there a way around this? The current patch is over 2 gigs. Please any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Im ready to play!

It's better to make an account on WorldofWarcraft.com first with your CDkey, then download the all in one client directly from the site. It downloads & installs simultaneously. It's also up to date

i uninstalled the game and started downloading it from the website, and now its doing what ive already done all over again. its installing 3.0.2 now

there is no way around them and you'll be happy that blizz releases patches

best thing to do would be to buy all expansions first. thats original wow, tbc and wrath. install all three, then download the patches starting from 3.02.

or you can go to many patch mirror sites and download them manually, put them in your wow folder, and then launch wow. you will not have to download anything else, you will simply have to install your downloaded patches and be done.

Sure there is...There are many sites that have the patches you can manually download in much less than half the time it would take using blizz's process.

yeah i agree to their suggestions. downloading from the official site takes long because too many people are using the bandwidth.
