I just purchased a new computed 3 days ago. On my old PC everything was running fine, but on the new one when I go into major cities such as Stormwind I get disconnected from the the internet , including wow, firefox, aim, ect. I then have to restart my wireless connection just to get back onto the internet. I am using a laptop with built in wireless and Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. My old desktop had Windows XP. Is there anything I can do to fix this. I emailed blizzard, and on monday i will call tech support, but hopefully someone here can help me.
Thanks,
Tim

As per the sticky thread, system specs please. Most likely, it is a junk Wireless adapter, or a poor quality router for Wi-fi; almost certainly as it is only the one machine it is a rubbish Wireless adapter, but we could use much more info.

i dont see how just going into a city can completely kill your internet connection might be faulty hardware?

Could you get an ID on your Router as well, might explain quite a lot. Also, was the old machine also on the same Wifi, or was that done via Cat-5 or such? If there were other things on this Wifi network and they were WoWing all A-okay it would be daft to think the router is the problem, yet if the other systems shows the exact same problem it would be almost certainly the router to blame.
You might say "Well I've already told you its only on this one machine" but you didn't tell us how the old one was connected, if it was using the wifi or not. If it was, we need to know. If it wasn't, even more so.

The router is a Netgear WGT624v3, and yes the old computer is on the same wifi connection

You should try and find a Wifi NIC for it, that is probably the cause of the problem, the current one being a bit dodgy. Might be the Wifi encryption level, might be that the company whacked in a cheap one, either way it isn't working right.
