View Full Version : please help with my mac free trial?

I get as far as "Failed to download World of Warcraft Trial. Please close all applications and try again." every time I try the free trial. I don't mind not using it and just buying the game at walmart, but i'd love to try it anyway. I'd also like to mention that it happens while the trial is "Testing internet connection speed..."

I even used CrossOver and CrossOver Games, but when I get to the license agreement the agree button stays grayed out, even when I scroll to the very bottom! Pleeeeeeease help!

You have a router problem. The download relies on certain ports being open and available and it sounds like they're not on your router.

umm, I already downloaded the free trial. it just doesn't finish. I wish I still had the screenshots...

how would downloading it again with torrent help? (I am ready with a client and I know how it works, though.)

The Blizzard downloader IS a torrent client. No need for another.

You don't need crossover etc. There's a native Mac OS X client. If you're downloading the Windows client that will not, of course, work on the Mac.

What do yo u mean by 'it doesn't finish'? How big is the downloaded file?

I'm not sure where the file you want is located....

Have you looked in the WOW Official MAC troubleshooting forum here (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=11111)?
