First off i would like to apologize for my post i made before this one. I had a bad week that week and i overreacted. So if ya'll can please forgive me. So i thought i would make a new post, a civilized one, and see if i could get some tips about how AV works.
On my server 90% of the time horde loses, very frustrating at times. But when we win the other 10% i am very happy.
Some people told me that playing at night horde have a better win rate then during the day. I was wondering if this is true.
If there is any pointers yall can give me they're well appriciated.

From aliance point of view, when horde wins it looks like that:
1. horde forms horde
2. they stampede through the valey up to the boss and through him
3. 10-15 minutes win.
Might help if you given us your race/class - people might be able to give you more specyfic tips.

on Spinebreaker, the horde almost always win but that's because the horde are actually organized where as all the alliance run off and try to be hero's.

Generally try to stay with group. Don't run alone.
That simple rule will make much difference for any BG.

In that bracket, there is very rarely any real competition. It is too high for many twinks, and not very many people stay at that level before just moving on to Outland.
I would honestly suggest abandoning the attempt to get the quest reward, and keep leveling until you move up a bracket - then you can see if you still have the same problems further along.
If you like PvP, I'd stick with WG and AB until the next bracket.
As for tactics, if you still want to try it, the best advice is to stick with a group, hopefully a healer, fight at the objectives, and not on the road... Not much else. It really all depends on the group.

Alliance usually won most of the AV matches on my old server. This was great for me (Alliance) as it was nice quick honor and lots of tokens, so many in fact that I often had them rotting in my mail box.
I moved to an RP server recently though and there is a hideous imbalance in AV for some reason. Every single time I've entered AV there are about 10 Alliance and 40 Horde. It's a slaughter, and it really is just easier to sit in the cave and wait for the token, something which I HATE doing. It's weird because we're not outnumbered like that in any other BG, just AV.
So anyway, just goes to show it really does differ from server to server (or battlegroup).

A highly commendable and humble apology. I applaud you for that. It takes a good person to do what you have done and welcome back. We all have bad days/weeks as we all know :)
Anyways, in my opinion AV has lost a lot of interest for most due to the uselessness of the marks. Personally I don't play AV much and play more of the other bg's. Recently it has just become rush to end boss and win quick. If your lucky there might be a good equal battle.....but don't hold your breath.

In some miracle, we won some games yesterday and i ended up getting the spear. I think i might work on the wolf mount next, only about 13 AV points away.
on Spinebreaker, the horde almost always win but that's because the horde are actually organized where as all the alliance run off and try to be hero's.Then again on spinebreaker you wait 30 minutes +, and when you finaly get to a game there's so few alliance that often enough the game is over in 5 minutes. At least in the 71-80 bracket which is the one I'm in.

AV is a strange one. When I first started playing it in the 50+ bracket Horde always outnumbered Alliance 2-1, now at level 80 the reverse is true.
The usual procedure is queue for 45 minutes and then win in about 10. It's basically 2k of free honour, but still a little boring.

A lot of you have mentioned that there seem to be rediculous balance issues in AV. 2:1, 4:1, ect. On my server it's always Hordes just sweeping us away, usually 20-25 Allies vs. a full team. Why is it that Blizz haven't equalized this? It seems like a relatively simple system to let the same number of people in on both sides. Or, even better, rearrange the battlegroups so you mix up the high-demand horde/alliance servers to get a balanced contribution. Seems like they're just letting this slide...
I find the same issue on my server *lightbringer* About 85-90% of the time horde wins mainly in AV when I first started playing pvp it was pretty much half and half. But lately its been horrible for the past 2-3ish weeks that i've been playing AV pretty much each time I play we lose and we lose quickly. Its been a common complaint with all the people in the battleground everytime I play AV.... "apparently" there is something wrong with blizzard and there has been loads of complaints about it, but nothing is getting done.. so I don't exactly know whats going on. And my friend who's on another server is having the same problem and he's horde. Kinda sucks when your trying to get some good honor points :( !!!!!

The problem is that you can't control humans. There is no way to stop 150 Alliance (or Horde) from Q'ing up to AV, then going to take a shower, make a sandwich, etc., and then miss the BG when it pops. Their spot is held for 2 mins, then the next person holds a spot for 2 mins. After 4 mins a lopsided BG is just about over. It know it sucks, I've been there on both sides of the coin, but there is nothing Blizzard can really do to fix it. They tried by lowering the time you have to join from 2 minutes to 1 minute but it still happens. If they force it to be too balanced, then you end up waiting in queue even longer. My only advice is to take the easy wins and shake off the lopsided losses. Just try to look at it as a game and have fun.

In my battlegroup there's normally a 40/40 for both horde and ally, and if you win or not really depends on time of day you're playing.
So there are fairly good chances to win as long as you bother to communicate and say things in chat, AND ignore all the people that start bashing on you and start telling you how good they are and how many alts they have that are epic and *caugh caugh* always on other servers, there's a good chance you win.
Also there is nothing really to spend your marks on after you're past a certain level, so i just play it for the mere enjoyment of this bg and I'm trying to play some eye of the storm, tho which the waiting to get in is immesurable and frustrating >.>

Whats funny in AV me and my step brother started a few PMs in AV and other bgs because were close to full sets (BC sets) and when we started we started up at defend Galv @ all costs and we turtle up there like whole entire game , it was hella fun and they ended up not being able to get past us and they didnt take any points behind us.
After our game, battlegroup - vengeance started copying us and every1 started copying us idk if it still happens but it was frigin funny and we were like first ones on our battlegroup >.< you should try if you can still PM it.

not all the time Horde win or vise versa.. you just need to know what time will your pro come out. If still loosing.. it would be okay atleast you still have the AV marks.
