Okay i just bought the treasure chest that has the first game and the first expansion burning crusade. I was wondering do i need to get wrath of the lich king right now? Or what level is the right time to get it?

You can do well in the areas provided by the Lich King expansion around 68 or so. You do not need that expansion until you get around level 68, unless you want to go to Dalaran early.

World of Warcraft minimal level = 1
The Burning Crusade minimal level = 58
The Wrath of the Lich King minimal level = 68

actually for burning crusade there's two possible reasons to get it.
1. to have access to outland content.
2. to make Draenei or Blood elf characters. so if you want to make characters of either races, this essentially start at level 1 but require TBC expansion.

well in the chest it has main game and burning, so i guess that would make me okay till level 68.

Thanks ^^, i was trying to fill this forums profile in, and i noticed that they didnt have Saurfang under Europe - Normal. I didnt mess up did i, when i made my druid.

Also i notice that WoW is more like an RPG and has quite alot of story to it, i really like that aspect :smiley:

The absolute earliest you'd want the wrath expansion would be level 55, which unlocks the ability to create a death knight (requires Wrath). If you're willing to wait on that, then certainly, 68 is fine.

I was going to say, I'm getting WotLK at 55 for the death knight... But if you don't want that, then I guess the max level-2 rules makes sense.

Agreed, but he already had TBC, and was asking about wrath. :grin:

You can only level in Northrend when you get to level 68. But you can buy WOTLK when you reach 55, then you can start a Death Knight if you want.

Well, you have a trial acct, of course, which means you can get to level 20, etc. And, it isn't linked to any battle chest info, so far.

I believe you can extend that trial account, or start a completely new account, when your battle chest makes its appearance.

Are any of your friends leveling characters also? If so, and if your original trial acct isn't part of the recruit a friend program, consider using the RAF program and restarting from scratch.

its fine. just activate it when you get your battlechest.

you can, as suggested, make a new account and play a new character.
honestly, that first 20 levels (or the first 10 days) isnt really that much, and now that you know a lot more about the game, leveling will be a lot faster.
