I've heard they exist, but I can't find them - are they in neutral cities somewhere?

I've tried the search facility but can't find answers to this.

They can be found in Booty Bay, Gadgetzan and Winterspring. Goblin towns btw.

they aren't used very often apart from when people want to transfer items from a horde character to an alliance character on the same server.

no they're not used that often. usually you'll see more pets than anything else, or certain faction-only recipes like murloc fin soup, which, i think, is alliance only.

you'll see lots of people selling moths, dragonhawks, snakes, roaches, cats, bunnies, and even lol senegals

I've seen those but didn't realise they were neutral - I did notice there was sod all on them though - and that things didn't sell at all well!

The commissions people pay are much higher than the faction AH, so people only sell stuff that is of value to the other faction.

And, they are not in well-traveled locations...so they are much less used.

They didn't for BC either. They wanted to keep us coming back to the old world, otherwise IF/SW/ORG would be empty.

It's also a good incentive on Blizzard's part, showing new and relatively new players all the fancy gear, pets and mounts that higher-level players have when they come back to the old cities - designed I'm sure to make them go out and buy the expansions.

Pretty sure Area 52 has a neutral AH but I could be mistaken.

I am having deja vu for some reason. But anyway, nope, Area 52 has no AH.

Ppl may be confusing the banker present there for an auctioneer
