I currently have a 5 year old computer. I got into WoW, and now I want a new one. I can run it with 20-30 fps(only 30 if i aim the camera down quite a bit) on med-high settings in open areas, but it's just not satisfying to me. Every time i go into a dungeon or building, I just start drooling at the 60 fps. So...what would be some reasonable specs for a new PC that can run WoW on high settings (shadows aren't necessary) averaging 60 fps (obviously not in 25 man raids,or anything, just casual questing/grinding)? I'm not sure what my budget is quite yet; I need to know a general range of required hardware for my preferred graphics. Any help is appreciated.

Take what's given in the Recommended Hardware thread, and substitute as follows:
Replace the CPU with an E8400 or something close
Replace the Graphics card with an 9800 GTX or a Radeon HS 4850/4870
That should create what you're asking for, or at least something very close. The others parts were chosen with suitable slack and scale to perform at those levels provided for these two parts, though if you insist on using Vista it would be wise to take it up to 4 gig instead of 2.

Thanks for the help. You're the second person to suggest 9800GTX, so I'll probably put that on my list. I'll check out the sticky for some other parts, I didn't even notice it when I posted the thread :undecided:

Well at least your doing some research first instead of buying some <generic cheap crap> and asking us why it won't work :)
