I saw this on the site, and I Had a Few Q's
" There are three subscription options: a month-to-month package at $14.99 per month, a three-month plan at $13.99 per month, and a six-month plan at $12.99 per month. The subscription fees for the three-month plan and the six-month plan must be paid in full. " When it says 6 month Dose that mean I pay that and I get it for 6 month or is it that a month? THANKS SOOOO MUCH!

Well, you see normally per month it is $14.99 a month, so you see paying for 6 months all at once for 12.99 a month saves you $12 in total so yes, you pay $12.99 per month of the 6 month package all at once so the total to pay at one time would be $77.94, and this would allow you to play with no other fees till 6 months later.

1st package
$14.99 per month - total $14.99
2nd package
$13.99 each month for 3 months - total $41.97
3rd package
$12.99 each month for 6 months - total $77.94
in Australia where i live i pay $39 for 60days game time. ie 2 months.

Actually, a month of WOW costs around $4000.
It is $15 for the game, and $3985 for the time lost where you could be doing something profitable.

Blizzard wants you to sign up for a subscription, but you can stop the sub each month.
Or, you can use gamecards which allow you to pay every month or so, and it shuts you off at the end of the period until you get another game card.

So After I pay the $20 for the game, RIGHT then I can stop the subscriptions, so after the free month I do not need one, Do you ever think they will change the price, I mean with the enconamy the way it is that price is INSANE!!! The game is just sooooo goood, but not goood enough to loose my house over, I guess i will stick to prepaid cards and play every few months, Maybe Thanks for your help guys! :D

Actually, you don't have to set up a subscription or use a game card to get the free month.
You can pay the $20, and play until the time runs out and never come back, if that is what you wish to do.

Yes, if you haven't subscribed by the time the free month is over you can't log in anymore. Then just save up for a gamecard and when you got the money, buy one, activate it and you can play for another two months.
Though if paying the subscription is too expensive I don't know if it's a good idea to spend everything you have on it. Especially since you'll have to hold off playing quite some time between gamecards.
If you're still going to school maybe this is the push in the back you need to get a little side-job. I don't know what's common in your area of Colorado (or in the entirity of Colorado for that matter)... Do people need their lawns mowed there? Might wanna ask parents for a little help in finding something... They should be glad of you're initiative as long as you won't be spending it ALL on wow. Let them see you setting some aside as well.

Just to be clear, game cards also come in one-month, and three-month versions.
If you have less cash, the one-month version is available.

Depends where you live.
Here in Canada I've only found 2 months cards.

I found the one-month cards on the blizzard website. Do those not work for you?

$120 a year is insane and may cause you to lose your house? If you are that close to losing your house, you should be looking for a part-time job and not a new hobby.

If this guy thinks that £81.47 for a year of WoW is a lot of money then The US economy is even more screwed than the news reports are saying.
Seriously, I spent more than that on a day out with my Guildies last weekend.

Probably. Don't worry about me though, I was just giving the info. I'm happy with the payment options I have.

Well, it adds up... it's definately more than a free-to-play game!
But then again, it's still one of the cheaper entertainments out there (provided you have a computer & internet anyway).

Yes it does add up.
To £81 a year. Which is about 22 pence a day. Like you said, probably the cheapest fun you can have.
If this guy can seriously not spend 22p a day (and he states he'll lose his house if he does) he should in all likelyhood sell his PC and cancel his internet. Thats would secure his future for a few years.
He could live like a king.

That's pretty much my feeling as well.
