I just finished all the updates for WoW after installing it yesterday. Does anybody understand what this error means and how I can fix it?

d3.d9.dll is part of Direct x9.

Try reinstalling Direct x9c (you should be able to get it from the Microsoft website)

Sweet! Thanks for the responses. The problem with installing DirectX is that Microsoft asks me to validate my Windows and asks for a key and everything, but this computer was built and sent to me custom-made online years ago and the Windows that's on here doesn't have a key or I don't have it or whatever. Is there a way to get DirectX without validating Windows? Like maybe just the download? Thanks again for all the help!

Erm.... even a PC built by an online company should have a validated copy of windows (they should have provided you with the little sticker with the serial on it).

You could of course use google to find an alternative download.

Every copy of Windows has a key, an easily accessable one as well. Right click My Computer and select Properties. The key is listed on there.

The only problem would be if your Windows is pirated :fortuneteller:

Thanks, guys. I figured it out and installed DirectX from somewhere else.

As a token of my appreciation, I present this random, crazy video... about sheep...

Yeah, the video rocks.

This is one of those many times where I'd hate being a sheep.
