Personal
What about personal information?
If I reinstall ofc. I would want to play with my old char.
Do I have to take backup of anything in my WoW folder to make sure I can play with my character again?

You can just back up the entire folder or when you come back to wow, just get the Wrath of the Lich King DVD and whatever patches have been released since then. As far as the account, you don't need to save any files unless you had addons that you wanted to save the info for.

all your character info i saved server side not client side, you can completely delete your WoW folder and do a fresh install, once you are finished patching and log in ALL your characters will be there.
