Ok i downloaded the 3.1 patch today and it finished successfully. When I went to open WoW I clicked play and got an application error which basically said that the memory could not be written. I could not debug this. I ran the blizzard error debugger and everything was alright, it changed the main start up page to the old one and that's really all it did, I still cant get into the actual game.
I have tonnes of memory available and no firewalls running. My internet connection is really good too..
Please if anyone could help I would be very appreciative. Thanks guys!!

What is the actual error code? All errors produced have an error code, it should be stated to gain more information about an error, and to ensure proper identification of the problem. There are several different errors that display messages featuring the word "memory" and as such, the exact error code is valuable, perhaps more valuable that the words themselves.
If it is Error #132 you basically have a problem. Instead of seeing it as having too much memory, you have loaded poor quality dud memory into the machine and the memory isn't retaining values properly.
So try and get the error again, and take close notes on it.

Here is the Application error
The instruction at "0x5a9288f8" referenced memory at "0x5a9288f8". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

After playing around with stuff it appears that my System Mechanic Professional was causing the error, I just found it weird that this didn't effect if before. I got it solved I think so thanks for the help :D
