Wow taking a long time to download

Hi all,

Well my new patch is taking forever to download. I know in past patches I had to do stuff like turn off my firewall, open ports, etc.... I would look this all up on the wow site that gives u all the answers to these questions, but it's down.

So, do I just wait and let it take it's time? Well I do remember one patch I did that, and I got an error at the end of my long wait. Is there something I should be doing? If so, how (not that good with computers)? Or is it that wow is just down for everyone?

the total size of both patch files is 849 MB. on our broadband connection, that takes between 5 and 8 hours with all required ports open and no firewall.

unable to edit my previous post and being a stickler for details, i am adding this correction here. now that we can connect to the EU realms again, the third patch file makes it 880 MB total.
