Glyphs?

I'm not really a newcomer but I have a nooby question. I've been away from the game for a while and now we have 'glyphs.' I read the wowikki page on glyphs and it tells me that they're made by inscription, the kinds of glyphs, major and minor etc, but it doesn't tell me where you get them. In my recent adventures in the game I haven't come across any either lying around or as rewards for quests.

As you say yourself, they're made by inscription. It's the new profession in WotLK, but you can also get it without the expansion. So, you can either find them in the AH or learn the profession and make them yourself.
