I had the setup for the FIRST WOW. i finished it, then used the client to download the BURNING CRUSADE (the client downloads and installs). Then i went to open it. and it shows the BURNING CRUSADE intro.... but then the login sayed WRATH OF THE LICH KING.... SO WTF!!!

SOMEBODY HELP ME!

The software should work regardless....It is your account at blizzard that decides what you can and cannot do.

Thus, if you aren't enabled for lich king, but have the software for it, you can't use it, and the extra LK stuff is merely unused and passive.

The login screen says "Wrath of the Lich King" for everybody.

Nothing to panic about. Calm down. Deep breaths. Maybe lie on the floor with your eyes closed. Throw some whale song on and light a few candles.

Relaxed now? Then go play Warcraft.

so its still burning crusade? -.- Because i want to play private servers... thats why i dont want WOTLK.

QuESTION 1: If i wanted to play the REAL WOW, is there a way to make an account without buying the DVD from the store?.

Question 2: Is there an easy way to DL these patches? cause they r very big 300- 700 mb

Right... Private servers are for idiots who want to ruin the whole idea of playing Warcraft. They have very very low populations, bad stability, cheat hacks throughout that ruin the game completely, no support and are the absolutely worst way of playing Warcraft.

On top of all this, if the warden program (which runs in the background and watches certain things while you play Warcraft) see's that you are playing on private servers then it will post likely get your IP banned from the real servers, thereby screwing up any chance you have of playing Warcraft as it's meant to be played.

It's also illegal (to a degree) as by playing on these servers you're supporting the numpties that basically steal the server code from Blizzard.

Add to this the fact that posting about private servers here will get you banned from these forums..... all in all it's a very bad idea to use them.

If you play "REAL WOW" (try getting to grips with capitals letters) then you can either buy the DVD from a store or pay for it online. As you're already downloading the client (the program) then go to the Warcraft website for your region and pay for it. It's the cheapest fun you'll have and won't regret it.

Just don't play on the private servers.

Oh, dear. Here it comes again. For those of you who have been subjected to my anti private server rants and wish to forego it again...you are warned

Do not play on a private server. It's stupid. Private servers are poorly run and poorly programmed. They may be free, but that means that they lack all those people paid to keep Blizzard's game running. You also do not know who did the programming, and what neat little extra fun things they added to the programming. Also, what's the point. No one will take a single achievement you might gain on your private server seriously. We'll all just laugh if you gleefully inform us you've cleared ulduar because you lose all validity playing on one.

Answer to question 1. Sure. Blizzard has them up for paid download.
