Hey everyone, my issue is this, when i usualy log on to WoW i can play 1 - 10 mins and then the screen goes black randomly ( just like in "stand by" mode )
This is the point where i have to reboot my pc. It's definetley not a requirments issue since im running an AMD Athlon 3800+ on ASUS EAH3450 512mb video card, have 1 gb of ram and my drivers are up to date.

I had this problem earlyer with my old video card that was ATI radeon x1050, but i was able to fix it by typing "-opengl" to the launcher, but now when i type this line my interface goes blinking every second, 1 blink. and fps goes from stable 100fps to 4-11fps

And the other problem is that WoW is freezing my PC randomly, after 10 mins to lots of hours of playing my pc will suddenly freez when im playing wow, but when i minimize wow to windows, my pc can stay online for several days.
Im guessing that could be a onboard sound problem, since i have a AC 97 realtek driver on my card.

I have read the previous topicks about this,
Some help would be apriciated :)

Run Memtest to test system stability. Might as well find out if the basic components are stable, and work from there.

I'm not the computer guy at all, how can i run a memtest? :)

Could be an overheating CPU and I also agree with Kalos...test that RAM :)

I suppose it could also be a failing power supply....

Type Memtest into google.

As for the sound issue...disable the sound (in the sound and voice options) and see if it stops the problem.

Did that already, didnt help got froze after 15 mins
As for the overheating, it couldn't be that. because im runing 3 fans on my pc and 1 room fan is under the desk to keep my pc cool!

Im testing my RAM now 20 % and no errors found i will edit this post when the testing is finished.

I ran the memtest I stoped the scan at 107.7% and had 0 errors show'n in the log!

Is the actually CPU fan running (it doesn't matter how many fans are spinning if the CPU one isn't). Have you actually monitered the CPU temp? Even with the CPU fan running, a bad contact with the thermal paste (or degrading of the paste over time) will make the fan useless.

Memtest needs to be run overnight and from a bootable CD/floppy..... it has to run BEFORE windows even starts up (how can it fully test the RAM if a large chunk of it is being used to run windows?)

I will also say this...the 3450 is a useless graphics card. It's virtually the bottom of the pile from that generation of cards. I would actually class it as worse than the recommended ATI X1600 - as we've seen time and time again... newer is not always better.

the cooler is runing great i got my pc back from repairs a few days ago, i thought they might fix the problem. but they could they did they're best so..
Okay i'll run memtest again overnight and well se how it goes, as for the black screen glitch i think i might have fixed it, but i dont know yet by adding -software to the launcher.

I would take the PC back to the place that "repaired" it and ask them to do a proper job - or ask for your money back.
