admin trouble after install

i've currently reinstalled wow and bc and every time i go to update patch it says couldn't be installed i need to install under admin. the problem here is my account is the admin one and i've even tried to click run as admin and still no luck :| no idea what i'm doing wrong i never had this problem before and i'm using vista if anyone can help that be great :)

Unsure as to whether this will be of any help to you but I kept having a similiar problem after I reinstalled windows vista on my system,nothing seemed to work until i transferred WoW to my spare external drive,now it works perfectly.

I'm sure someone more technical than myself may have a better solution for but in the meantime this may be a reasonable workaround for you.

In vista, WoW should be installed to the 'Public' folder rather than 'Program Files'
