Hello. Never been to the site before, but in search for a solution to my problem I stumbled upon this site.

Here is the problem:

When i'm plugged into my router I cannot connect (nor anyone using the router) to anything Blizzard or Linksys (my router) related. I can't visit the armory, blizzard.com, worldofwarcraft.com, etc. When I try to log into WOW it stays at connecting until finally it says, "unable to connect" and gives me a link i can't visit.

The problem is solved when I hook my PC directly up to the modem. But the only issue is there are 4 other people in the house that rely on the router. :undecided:

Here are the things i've tried:

Flushing DNS
Renewing my IP
Cloning my MAC address
Opening up ports on my router
Upgraded the Firmware for the router
Hijackthis
Spybot
Reformatted XP
Upgraded to Vista
Upgraded to Window 7 (lol)
Cried a little

After all those things, I decided it has to be the routers fault. So went a purchased a new router, set it all up and am still having the same issues...

Anyone else heard of this?!

Get an ID on:

The Modem
The (two) routers
Your PC, particularly your NIC, but don't forget the basic components for familiarisation purposes

Router 1: Linksys Wireless G - WRT54GS
Router 2: Linksys Wireless G - WRT54G2 V1
NIC 1: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)
NIC 2: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) #2

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @2.40GHz
4GB Ram
9800GTX

Up until recently i could connect to anything if i was plugged directly into the modem, however that is no longer the case no matter if i'm thru a router or not i can't connect to WOW or anything blizzard related.

My ISP says, "talk to blizzard" but it's not just them, i can't connect to linksys website either.

It would have been better to have gotten a completely different router, as it could simply be a bug with that particular series of that family of router. Similar thing with the NIC. Get completely foreign, out of this world, different components, not like for like replacements; that should yeild some interesting results.

To be honest it is a bit unheard of, selectively blocking websites, including its own manufacturer.

What is your ISP anyhow?
