Trapped in zul'gurub :(

Hello, I'm a noob and i've found myself trapped as a ghost, in zul'gurub (in Stranglethorn Vale). Basically the only exit from the instance I can't get through, due to my low level (9). I've sent a message to the GM but they haven't got back to me for 5ish hours now. I'm not sure how i got there due to my friend exploring with my ghost while I wasn't there, but I've looked on maps and there is only one way out (the gate I can't get through)
Is there anyway I can escape?
Can someone resurrect me?

Use the auto unstuck option.

To activate auto unstuck, take the following procedure:

1. Click on the "?" icon at the bottom to enter the support system.
2. Click on "Open a ticket".
3. Click on "Stuck".
4. Click on "Auto unstuck".

Oh... and don't let your friend play with your char again ;)

if you "cant get trough" the gate to the instance means that you are still outside the instance.

Just go to the next ghost healer and rezz.

1) Beat up your friend and change your password where he can't access your account
2) Just make another character. Getting to level 9 takes about 2 hours.

How the hell did a lvl 9 get to Zul'gurub?

You would have died many times over just getting from the road to ZG.
The goblins around that lake are bad enough when you're level 30.
Then there are the 3 sets of Troll guards and the patrol to get past.

Finally someone has bothered to ask the question. It's somewhat easier for a horde toon to get there... all of us have made the omg...what LEVEL are these mobs!?!? mistake when we got on the wrong zeppelin, but even with a horde toon it would be a massive corpse run at that level to get to the raid instance itself.

As Twoflower said, just find the nearest Graveyard on the map, there should be an arrow pointing there on the minimap. Speak to the ghost and res there, then use your hearthstone to get home.

I guess it's easy to go wandering and get lost as a ghost when you're new ^ ^

Let us know if you need a hand, if you're in Europe I can make a character and guide you out. Oh wait - this was 3 days ago - I hope you're unstuck by now!

Yeah...I don't think you are in Zul' Gurub...maybe the outside area. Unless you're on a private server it's impossible to be inside the instance. 1. requires lv60, 2. gotta be in a raid. Use the friendly "m" button and walk west...that's left.

Oh we've all been there. My first ever WoW character I somehow managed to lose. I made him, got to about level 8 or 9, then when I logged in next time for some reason I picked another server and couldn't understand where he was. I didn't get the whole different server thing back then, so I had to make another character...

I found him a few months later, he's still on my account at whatever level I got him to that first session :)

Haha when servers went down the first time I thought I had lost all my characters, and went and played the first server that came up. From this convo I decided to make a new thread here, enjoy :)

Hey, OP here
Thanks for all your inputs and ideas, a kindly GM eventually took pity and rezzed me. I'm pretty sure I was inside the instance (I looked up some maps of it and they corresponded exactly where I was) It was a central island surrounded by water and then a circle of islands surrounding it, connected by bridges and only one way out through a large gate at the western side. I would have taken screenshots but didnt think of it in time. NO idea how I got in there though, I let my friend explore with my corpse for a bit and ended up there unable to get out.
I'll take more care in future....
