Can't dual wield

I'm a night-elf warrior and just recently turned to level 20.:cloud9:
I learned dual wield from my trainer in Dolanaar and then excitedly brought up my character page and bag up.
When I try to equip two notched shortswords of power, the guy says 'You cannot dual wield':cry:
Then when I try to equip a two handed sword it still says that you can't dual wield.
Please can someone help me with this.

If you know what the problem was, feel free to elaborate and maybe help some people experiencing the same issue.

Probably he's dealing with Main-Handers as opposed to One-Handers.

And you can't duel wield 2 handers until you've picked up the 51 point talent in the Fury Tree.
