Account Suspension- further investigation

Hello.. everybody... my account has been suspended because of my guild name... and blizzard told me in the e-mail the following :

Account: ------
Guild Name in violation: ------
Type of violation: Highly offensive naming
Consequences for Guild Leader: Guild renamed, warning issued and account locked pending further investigation

What i want you to ask is... : ,,pending further investigation,, meas more than 72 hours? i know that 72 is the maximum time for a suspended account.. but.. in the e-mail they havent,t told me for how much time... just for further invstigation.. anyone knows.. for how long..? It could be the final of my account after investigation? i mean they can close my account forever..? after this ,,investigation?.. My guild name in a way.. it can be offensive... but in my country means anything else.. so that,s why... it comes to this mistake... thank you ffor your further post.. and sorry for my bad english.. ty a lot.. !

and i have replyed the .. and explained them that .. that word in my country means something else.. but they don,t replyed me..

Well, even though the possible offensive word doesn't mean anything offensive in your language, it DOES in English. So you have no other choice than to comply. I would also have a problem if I named my guild something Dutch that coincidentally means something offensive in English. Big deal, be glad they didn't ban you for it...

Yeah... this is why names of characters and guilds should be run through a google search BEFORE being used. I ended up telling a friend of mine to delete one of his characters once because the toon's name was racially offensive and could get him reported. He had no idea...he'd just made the word up.

Just remember, we can only speculate. None of us work for Blizzard so all you can get here on the forum is educated guesses.

My thoughts:
The guild renaming and the warning....are direct result of whatever "bad" guild name you chose.

The account locked pending further investigation...is probably so they can look through their logs and see if you have done this in the past or had any complaints filed against you. I wouldn't worry as long as you have a clean record. They are just playing it safe and you should get your account back soon.

As Kodonn said, if you've behaved yourself in the past you should be OK.

I've seen some EVIL guild names before on my server, and I know for a fact that the guild leader responsible for one of these survived to play another day - he made one almost as bad a week later :P

With that said, please be careful next time :P
