As I sit looking over the 3.2 patch notes, I found myself looking over all the other old patch notes.
Reading through them, I found myself thinking "How the hell did I get through without that feature?" for a number of things:
Summoning Stones
Honor System
Battlegrounds
LFG
Guild Bank
Brewfest
What are some things you guys look back and think "How the hell did I get on without that?"

I only started last year, but it blows my mind that the game was released without the guild bank

Yeah... It was annoying. The GM usually had a level 1 alt to handle it.
Sometimes two.

Summoning stones rule, I agree! Can't understand how we could've done without 'em. I also like reputation (sometimes I hate it, but that's because of the grinds you have to do sometimes, hehe) which wasn't implemented at first (which cost me more time to gain rep than chars that started to play after I started).
Moonkin form is something else that springs to mind. Can't think of anything else atm, to be honest.
I remember waiting for an hour for the post to be delivered to an alt.
And if my memory serves me, there was only an Alli auction house in IF and that didn't have a search function.

Personally, I know it's a relatively recent change, but the mount requirement being made 30 was great (soon 20 - I know, touchy subject!).
Also, <3 flying mounts, I'm so grateful for them. Earlier changes that I loved:
Being able to chose whether or not to show my helm and cloak,
The dressing room feature to actually see what stuff looked like on your character,
Auction times increased to 48 hours,
Having linked auction houses instead of single ones in each city,
Weather effects,
Getting gold instead of XP at cap level,
One flight to your destination instead of having to stop and fly to somewhere else
Keyrings!

dear god yes, keyrings for sure
For me: also a recent change: no more crushing blows from raidbosses

OH GAWD YES LINKED AUCTION HOUSES.
I remember walking into Ironforge after they put that in, and I was like "Holy ****! I can function! I can move! I can move around!"
Refreshing to see happyness like this. Especially since usually there is just a moan and *****storm on official and unofficial forums about everything, but most of all about things that are not even released.

I can remember getting my mount at 40 on my hunter and enjoyed riding alongside my bear. A week later they removed that function so when you mounted up your pet disappeared. I was not happy!!

Flying mounts.... and the ability to get myself stuck in more than one dimension. Whoohooo boy! Also...unless I'm terribly mistaken.... profession specific BIG bags!!!!

If this sort of thread comes around again in a few months time, we'll be talking about the limited time in WSG.
You would think that would have been in the game a long time ago. After those long matches, the ones where one side decided, instead of capping the flag, we'll just punish you forever. Forever. And ever.

Or all healers stuck on that damn little ramp/hill thing for the lucifron fight? Wow. I'm in big time raiding now, and all I see is rock and a screen FULL of 40 health bars.

Key rings were awesome indeed.
The increase of stacking mats (i.e. cloths/bolts) as well the rep mats
Extra bank slots
Lowering the rep needed to get keys for roics (in OL's)
report spam indeed
Bringing the shaman to alliance and allowing the pally on the horde
instant honor points after a BG instead of waiting a week
shorter CD on hearths
love the glyphs were you require no regeants to cast a spell
Theramore port
lvl 30 mounts indeed
I think the overall FP speed was increased wasn't it?
more graveyards and FP points

Everything that's mentioned in this thread (well, except the pet disappearing thing) is such an improvement indeed! ^^
