Medievaldragon captured video of the latest boss in Wintergrasp’s Vault of Archavon and wrote down some info on the fight:
Koralon, the Flame Watcher is a new boss in Wintergrasp’s Vault of Archavon. He is currently available for testing on PTR 3.2. Koralon doesn’t seem to have a loot table yet. It might be added in upcoming PTR patches. The boss has about four discernible abilities:
Burning Breath: Koralon spins around a few times while breathing a large fire stream affecting all players in the raid. Anyone low in health will most likely die. It is recommended to have everyone healed to the max before he casts this ability.
Burning Cinder: Many patches of fire spawn around Koralon. These look like Magmadar’s puke on the ground. Simply move away from these. It does damage over time, so it won’t do much damage initially unless you don’t move away. Standing near them seems to cause damage as well. Stay clear.
Lava Burst: Koralon submerges his hands into his lava cauldron, which hangs off his belt, and sprays himself with lava many times. Any melee within his immediate area gets burned. Don’t let melee stay with low health for too long. Lava Burst could kill a few players.
Meteor Fists: This ability spreads the damage evenly to any melee players in front of Koralon. This can be devastating to the tank if melee stays behind Koralon, as the tank would get the full damage potential of this ability.
Expect Koralon to get buffed up considerably throughout PTR testing. My attempt was 10-man Heroic. It seemed too easy, though we lost around three players. Our video below catches most of these abilities so that you can discern exactly what these abilities do and how they look like.
