Chunderpants' Blog of Chunderyness

Posted 22-03-2007 at 01:29 AM by Chunderpants
A funny thing happened on the way to the forum

I had a result on the forums today. "Well pleased I am" (in my Yoda voice). After playing with my gorilla for a while - no innuendo intended, I realised it wasnt maintaining the agro of the enemy. In fact it was pretty much saying "oi dont pick on me mate, go give that ugly hunter a go"

Anyway I posted about this in the hunter forums and had some good assistance, but mainly from a really helpful guy called Dark Matter, who even redid a skills page for me and listed out where I was going wrong and what to do.

After printing it out, getting home, having dinner I set out to do the do. Gorilla went to beddy bies in the stable, out came the spider and he got dismissed - the ugly git. Then from Southshore to Menthol Harbour, over to Aubergine and up the coast looking for a way into Felwood to tame a wolf.

This is kinda where things went a little bit wrong...I couldnt find my way in and eventually ran out of road! Now call me a fool, but I figured if I swam round a bit I would find a way in.

Sadly not:

As you can see, I made it a fair way round - in fact it would have been quicker to swim to Ratchett than back to Aubergine lol.

So looking at the printout I then realised I was hearthstoned in Desolace which was just north of Feralas where theres a Longtooth Runner with the same skills.

I refer you back to my first post where I confess to being a bit of a dunce, but I think I can honestly say that travelling the length of Feralas right up to the pier to the little islands and only coming upon lvl 50 gorillas and wolves, then all the way back up to the Desolace border andnot finding a single lvl 40 Longtooth wasnt my fault. NO ONE SAID IT WAS ON THE FREAKING ISLAND!!

Only after looking on a-n-other site did I discover this...so back down to the jetty - just as the ship left!

Cutting this short, I got to the island, tamed the bloody thing, got Bite Rank 6 quite fast, swam over to the other mini island, got well and truly pasted in some small cave full (totally full) of Naga, then back up to Desolace.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention - having cornered the market in Clam Meat from Naga deaths, I cleverly managed to tame a pet that refuses to eat it. Why oh why oh why!!

Getting late now, but tomorrow (today) I'll dissect the quest that is blowing a horn on a mountain.

Mend and feed after two or three fights with mobs, this will keep your pet loyal to you.
