I'm not sure how to explain my reasoning behind it other then it would nice to know. I look at playing this game online (playing the game only online) and not looking through websites and forums for caps etc...

"Why? It's not something the casual player will ever need."

Really? You think that's an attractive model for Blizzard to have? You shouldn't have to jump around outside of the game to figure out your own cap. All the items you get now, tell you % @ lvl the item is good for and what it does for you. The next step is what I'm asking Blizzard to do.

I just looked at the top gear score players in WoW (4200 rating +) and some of them are way over cap'd, while some are way under cap'd (can't insert link).

Can't tell me Caps are for raiders only. ;-)

Try as you might, sometimes you go overcap simply because the gear you get is an upgrade. My Rogue was sitting @ close to 600 hitrating, with nothing to drop and nothing to regem/reenchant.

You beat me to it Areath. This is the true story.

Ok... this brings me to my next issue then. If Blizzard knows this (as per above with gear putting you way over the rating), why have the cap??? "We" can't control tier 10/11 gear stats... It's kinda BS in a way for a few reasons. Need I have to list them? lol

There's has to be a way to balance out this stuff in a easy manner.
