Out of interest how are you finding Freenas? What spec machine are you running it on?
I use OpenFiler myself, great for what I use it for (iSCSI Target server for VMware Vsphere server).

One thing I would also consider if you're running this in a Lan Cafe environment is Faronic's Deep Freeze, that would allow you to reset each machine every night to a specified level. Why? Because you don't want people installing things willy nilly, using Deep Freeze would mean you can take the machines back to how you want it.

Another thing I would also have considered would have been to have a powerful file server hosting the actual WoW binaries and running a single copy of the came over the network instead (as long as the machine had loads of ram to handle multiple requests).
