The list is good. A lot more could be added for sure. I would love to get onto Blizzard as a idealist - having created a RPG - live action based (much like WoW, LoTRs etc). I have a ton of ideas and suggestions. Plus I would actually listen and write back fellow WoW players i.e. forum ensuathiasts like your selves.
Two profession item creations should be the next choice: BS/Eng. as an example.
example:
i.e. ilvl 259, lvl 80
Breast Plate of Nifty Minds (something like that)
Armor 5000
+190str
+500stam
+18 to all other stats
Red
Blue
Yellow
+1 for creation socket
+1 for creation socket
Equip: +50 def, +35 resistance/parry/dodge/block, +15 to all magic types
Equip: Chance on hit to cast an HoT on next lowest health @ 256-300/tic (15 secs). 1 min CD
Equip: Chance on dodge to shoot out angry missiles at all aggro'd targets causing 300-400 dam. no CD
Use: Replenishes Mana, Rage, Health at 10% per tic for 5 secs. 8 min CD.
Animation (while AFK): Breast Plate opens up periodocially with a self oiling kit and arm and polishishes off your breast plate for you, sometimes cleaning your teeth too! Small chance of back fire and /groan shot the user :P for 5 secs.
Some professions dip a little bit into that... I would love to see this truley be something in the next x-pac
I think they're getting there with engineering stuff becoming enchants instead of full-blown items.
Avoids having to design a seperate melee plate item, healing plate, healing leather, caster leather, melee leather, healing cloth, caster cloth, etc. per "cool effect".
Really, if they made it to where two professions put together were even 10% stronger than just the one crafting profession it would be too powerful, and be like saying "Oh, do it this way or that's essentially a penalty."
I always thought that the LotR woodworking skill would be a nice addition to wow, as well as the construction skill from runescape.
new classes? the problem being finding a new class which isn't just a fusion of 2 (or more) classes we already have.
There is still space for new classes. If you've ever played Diablo 2 you'll recognize:
The Amazon (we need a different name that includes males)
Fights with bow or throwing spear, but no pets. Can play ranged and melee (javelin and spear). It does look a bit like a hunter but in the same way that a Paladin looks like a Warrior. Players need to be good at kiting and jumpshots but can also switch to melee to finish off single mobs.
The Summoner (Comparable with D2 Necromancer)
Up to 5 minions that are his main source of damage. The minions are skeletons that use weapons and armor. The summoner casts curses to weaken and confuse the enemy but does little damage of his own.

One is too close to hunter. The other is too close to death knight.
