Revised DnD Chronicle

Hello!

Having learned the rudiments of the DnD 3.5 core rules system, I've decided to revamp my gaming group, and begin a new chronicle. I will be looking to take on 6-8 players. The requisite for joining is absolute fealty to my game. Meaning, players are to make a commitment to my chronicle, which will meet at regular times, as agreed to by the players. If you wish to play, and can meet that criteria, please post below. :)

One thing to keep in mind is that this chronicle will be of "epic" proportions, akin to LOTR in scope, but will be unfamiliar to even the most keen RPer - this is my own content. We will be playing in IRC chat, with special use of the openRPG system, which will include tactical maps. I'm looking forward to an enjoyable chronicle :).

I'm only familiar with BG/2
(DnD 2.0 core rules)

: /

if it's very similar, though...

name: Jin
race: Half-Orc
class: fighter
alignment: LN
characteristics: a sword-and-shield master, he does what he thinks is right, sometimes for his personal gain, and relys on this brute strength and strudiness to slay his foes

A lawful half-orc? Iggy (my char) could deal with that. Better not be any true-neutral rogues... or he's going to go *preachy* all over the place.

ALOT has changed since the days of 2nd edition. I mean there are still hit points and levels and classes and things like that. But I'd guess that more then half of what you know has been changed.

I've got great admiration for the 2nd Edition AD&D system, as I come from that era - I've played with those rules for a good 10 years. However, the 3.5 rules have merit, and I'm starting to think this new innovation may be the better way to go. It won't take long to make the transition, and it's likely that our character generation sessions (which happen "whenever" over msn or in IRC chat) will be good learning experiences. If you'd like to join us niteshade, you're more than welcome to provided desire and capacity are in your favor.
Welcome Zarlan, Havard, Sinovo, and Echod. So far it looks to be rounding out well, with some good casting power and some beef. Alignments may be LG, NG, CG, or LN.
Echod, please PM me your MSN contact info, as the others have already. Thx! :)

AoA - Echod says he's only familiar with bg and bg2. Same with me, but when I tried to join last time you wouldn't let me because of that.

Well, if it weren't for umpiring games at night I would join you. Maybe another game in a month or two.
