Anyone else jonsing for this as badly as I am? I probably won't get to see it till this weekend but damn do I want to see this movie badly. I love Spider-Man I loved the first film and this one looks like its going to be even better.

I don't trust most reviewers however i tend to trust them as a large collected group, that's why I love www.rottentomatoes.com they combine all the reviews in one rating, if 55% of reviews like it it's "fresh" if not it's total crap. The highest I've seen a movie was 90 and that was for ROTK and Shrek 2 I think.

So far out of 40 nationally known reviewers 40 have all praised Spidey 2

I'm sure they'll be some negatives to come out eventually but that's a pretty number for a movie i'm dying to see.

I'm also wanting to play the game really really bad.

I'm really looking forward to this movie, its my #1 most wanted for this year.
But it doesnt open until July 8th here.

I loved the first one, I know I will love this one and I too am drooling over the game, wich also isnt out 'till July 8th here.

The Punisher and Hellboy have still not been released in Norway, Shrek 2 isnt due until September. How fun is that. Dammit! You'd think I was living in some 3rd world country but noo, they just like to needlessly delay movies. It gives them a kick to see the masses writhing in pain because of the wait.

Yes! I'm pretty excited about this movie. The first was very well done...(GOGO SAM RAIMI AAAAAAH!!!)... and the second has me rather eager to see it. I just hope Spidey says something like... "Give me some sugar, baby." or "Hail to the King," then I'll die a happy man.

While I have to agree with you, Venom is Spiderman's coolest villain ever, I love the direction Raimi has taken with the films. Certain aspects of the Spiderman story have been changed, (he doesn't 'make' the web...sheesh, who put that in the comic in the first place? Oh, sorry Mr. Lee,) but much of it remains true to the original story. The changes I've seen I'm quite fond of. Omitting Gwen Stacey was a good idea, but including the scene where she died, (getting dropped from the bridge), was brilliant.

Basically, I think the justification for using the less "cool" of the Spiderman villains is to rely more on the story to carry the film. Green Goblin was always sorta a joke to me in the comics, but the first film really did a great job villifying him. I have no doubt that Dr. Octavius will be likewise improved over his rather nerdy comicbook counterpart.

Ya, didn't Doc Ock have a neon green/yellow suit in the old comics? Anyway, I agree that they should use Venom, because he is opposite Spider-Man. Good photographer, Bad Photographer. Good Spiderman, Bad symbiot.. thingy. Anyway, you get the point!
