I'm so proud. It took me nearly a whole day of running around (not to mention about 10g in stuff), but I got Engineering up to 210 and made a Net-O-Matic, a Gnomish Shrink Ray, and a Mechanical Dragonling.

The problem is that I can only use two, and since I'm a paladin, I pretty much have to use the Net-O-Matic so that people can't run from me.

So here's the question... well, questions: What are the stats on Mechanical Dragonling, and what are the negative effects (including the odds of failure) of the Gnomish Shrink Ray.

I've heard that the Mechanical Dragonling is pretty strong, but I can only test it once per hour (and the last time I tested it, it died in about 20 seconds to a level 26 elite in the stockades).

The Gnomish Shrink Ray looks incredibly good... when it works. I think I heard somewhere that it makes the badguy grow huge or something.

Still, I'm planning on using the Shrink Ray or the Mechanical Dragonling in fights I'm going to lose if I don't. So if Shrink Ray fails, it's not like I just "lost" a fight 'cause of it. Therefore, I care more about the ODDS of it succeeding/failing than the effect. I.e. I'd rather have it fail 5% of the time and death 10,000 damage to me when it does than fail 10% of the time and give my opponent 5 power.

I've only used the shrink ray a handfull of times and it only failed twice on me. Once, while soloing, it made me grow, which was kind of cool. The second time I was in a party and it shrunk the whole party, which was not so cool. Everybody had a good laugh about it though. :lol:
